THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC.
Hello, wizards, witches and ofcourse the Muggles! Welcome to my Blog. Today I am writing about the Ministry of Magic, the most powerful and secretive organization in the wizarding world. You Muggles and wizards may think you know everything about the Ministry, but I bet you didn't know these facts:
- The Ministry of magic was founded in 1707 by Ulick Gamp, the first Minister for Magic. He was also a notorious drunkard and once tried to use a dragon as a broomstick.
- It has seven departments, each with its own head and staff. The largest department is the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which is responsible for enforcing the laws of magic and arresting dark wizards. The smallest department is the Department of Mysteries, which nobody knows anything about. Seriously, nobody. Not even me.
- The Ministry of magic has a hidden entrance in London, disguised as a red telephone box. To enter, you have to dial 62442 (which spells MAGIC on a phone keypad) and say your name and business. Then, you will be taken down to the Atrium, where you can access the other departments by using the golden lifts.
- This organisation has a lot of secrets and scandals. For example, did you know that in 1996, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, was ousted from his position after he refused to believe that Lord Voldemort had returned? Or that in 1997, the Ministry was infiltrated by Death Eaters and became a puppet of Voldemort's regime? Or that in 1998, the Ministry was liberated by Harry Potter and his friends during the Battle of Hogwarts?
- The Ministry is not perfect. It has made many mistakes and injustices over the years. For instance, it has persecuted many innocent people, such as Sirius Black, Hagrid, and Harry Potter himself. It has also discriminated against many groups of magical beings, such as werewolves, centaurs, and house-elves. It has also been corrupted by many dark forces, such as Voldemort, Grindelwald, and Umbridge.
These were some facts about the Ministry of Magic that you may not have known before. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and learned something new. Look forward for my blog for more magical content. Thank you for reading.
